For centuries the Tibetan Buddhist nuns of the lineage of Lama Wangyal have been the traditional caretakers of the pilgrimage site Muktinath-Chumig Gyatsa at the Annapurna trekking circuit in Nepal.

The international support for the Muktinath nuns of Lama Wangyal is channeled through the MFI which takes care of funding their livelihood, medical care and education.

On the picture Tikik, Pema and Anni are carrying MFI goods to their rooms at the pilgrimage site.
