This site has been set up by the MFI to create an international
publication platform about the Hindu and Buddhist place of pilgrimage
Muktinath-Chumig Gyatsa at the Annapurna circuit in the Himalayas of
Nepal.
The Muktinath Web Site launched in the year
2000 on August 9, the birthday of Guru
Rinpoche and the auspicious day of shrAvaNa shukla dashamii of the
Hindu Lunar Calendar, the day preceding 'putradaa Ekaadashi' which is
dear to Lord mukti-nArAyaNa.
This website contains more than 200 pages of which 155 searchable. We
have between 300 and 550 unique visitors a day creating an amount of
about 90,000 visits a year from more than 70 different countries (see
counter at the left for current total amount since launch).
May this web site help to accomplish great benefits for all sentient
beings and may it contribute to their hapiness.
