In the southern corner of the Muktinath complex, the Mebar Lhakang Gompa - also called the Salamebar Dolamebar Gompa or the Jwala Mai Temple, is situated. It is here that one can find the eternal burning flames of natural gas: Sale Mebar  (burning soil); Do Mebar (burning stone) and Kla Mebar (burning water).

In front you see the shining white toilet building donated by the Muktinath Foundation International to the nuns in 2004.
