Founding
The Muktinath Foundation International was founded in 2000 with the help of Muktinath Lama Wangyal after talks with, amongst others, H.E. Chogye Trichen Rinpoche - teacher of H.H. Tenzin Gyatso Dalai Lama XIV - who gave his personal blessings to the founding. See the Recommendation Page for more backgrounds.

Partnerships

The MFI works in close cooperation with the Sree Mukti Kshetra Development and Conservation Committee, the committee of the local people of Muktinath Valley, founded by the local people of Muktinath Valley. The international support for the traditional caretakers of Muktinath-Chumig Gyatsa, the Muktinath nuns of the lineage of Lama Wangyal, is channeled through the MFI.
